Four former inmates of the Venango County Jail have filed a federal lawsuit alleging they were mistreated while in the jail’s restricted housing unit during 2023 and 2024. The lawsuit comes amid other problems for the jail, as the sudden resignations of former Warden Adam Craig and former Chief Deputy Warden Tristin Siegel, along with the suicides of two inmates within the past year also have drawn the public’s attention.
